History
Born into Xiaoyao Gu, a small unorthodox sect that lived in peace with yao
Orphaned young and taken in by Qingshui Tang, an orthodox sect
Was told by them that the yao he lived with killed his family
Found out in his teens that Xiaoyao Gu was actually massacred by an alliance of orthodox sects, including his adopted home, because they chose to befriend yao rather than kill them for their cores, which was seen as against the natural order
Departed Qingshui Tang after this, though his adopted sister Susu urged him to stay and fight against prejudice from within instead
Struck out on his own using his foundations in both Xiaoyao Gu and Qingshui Tang techniques as the base of his training, but also spent time with various traveling masters and unorthodox sects, including ones with less than savory reputations
Developed his own patchwork style that draws on multiple sources and is adapted to maximizing his personal strengths
Relationships
Ding Susu (丁苏苏): Adopted sister from Qingshui Tang. Wants him to come back into the fold and try to change orthodox policy from within because she fears for his life.
