• Originally from the third ring district, her father is a computer scientist who won his way into Jubliance through outstanding achievement. He was not allowed to bring his family with him because he was not married to Miel's mother

• Marlon Blackwood: Father; she's only met him a handful of times in her life and can't help resenting him a bit for semi-abandoning her family. Understands he's helped them out much more than some people might have, but doesn't have much affection for him
• Juliette Castillon: Mother; the one who raised her and the person she's closest to in the entire world. A gentle, soft spoken women with a big heart, Miel is protective of her and shields her from her less than legal activity. Would do anything for her
